Footie Flummery
London, England.
The rain trundles down like a cart leading the condemned to the gallows. Outside of Stamford Bridge in South London, the residents in Blue are jubilant. Those in Red are wondering what happened to a season that held so much promise, so much potential. Arsenal conceded two late goals as Didier Drogba took the match by the scruff of the neck and led his side to victory, and may well be on his way to knicking the title from ManUre come May. It was a match devoid of controversy, unless you count starting Essien at right back, but Grant soon got that correct, too. I was surprised that Gallas’s reception wasn’t colder, seeing what happened to Ca$hley Cole at Emirates. At least he didn’t cry in the middle of the pitch this time. I think it’s time for Walcott to spend some time up front. Ade has lost his edge and RvP just isn’t match fit yet. Bendtner did score for denmark this weekend. Drogs may be off to warmer climes next season, but his contribution to destroying Arsenal is uncanny. Hat’s off to the most difficult striker to defend in the EPL.
Up North, in the Freezer of Dreams, Manure coasted to a 3-0 victory over the bin-dippers. One might say that Liverpool have their eyes on the CL, much the same as AFC. We’ll see who has the steel in a little more than a week’s time, when the tournament resumes. For now, it looks to be a two-horse race for the ePL title between Chelsea and ManUre, but stranger things have happened. With seven games yet to be played, there are some exciting matches at the top and bottom. Don’t forget, the relegation matches can be more exciting than the league leaders.
Liverpool are the most dangerous side in the world. Feels a lot like 05′ when they were struggling to keep their european spot and they managed to cast off the shackles of the London Times and rise to European Glory.

Mr Huff…it is ALWAYS a pleasure. The Scousers have not won the league in how many years? In order to be an elite team in Europe, you must challenge for silverware on all fronts, domestic and continental. A big club would not fight to stay in the fourth spot, especially with a team containing Gerrard, Torres, Marcherano, Babel and Carragher. Small clubs can only compete on one level; ergo, the Scouse wankers from Liverpool!
PS…watch the 3-2 slidepiece!

Perhaps you are correct in this matter. And it was the 89-90′ campaign that last saw the mighty Reds net a Premiership title. Granted, the amount of top flight players that this club has they should not be fighting for a spot in Europe. But rest assured, at the end of this week after Liverpool takes max points their spot will be safe.
Then in the summer, when the Special One agrees to take over the club - Liverpool will once again rise to glory amongst the Premiership 4.

I do miss Maureen. He was a tremendous gaffer, and a good personality. But, do you really want the Scouse to play like Chelsea (grinding out 1-nil wins, yawwwwn)? They need Robbie Fowler!

I agree about Fowler.. Who else could ever pull off a celebration of a PK by sniffing a line? And no, I wouldn’t like to see 1-Nil victories, but max points is max points. Something has to be done to keep Gerrard in the red. Besides, it’s very clear that Rafa can only compete on the European level.
We need to sell off Dirk Kunt to the highest bidder.

by the way, congratulations on advancing through.
You guys definitely deserved it, a magnificent brace from Fabregas.
I thought Milan would grab one in the opening 15, but the back four held strong.
